Someone on the Groundspeak forums pointed out this story. While I’m happy everything was returned, I have to wonder – what was she thinking taking it geocaching?!?

What have you left behind at the GZ?

I wondered the SAME thing, even IF she was in the middle of headed somewhere… dumb move on her part being out there with it in the first place!

Apparently, she needs to re-evaluate her priorities. I understand that some people have a pathological need to geocache, but there’s a time and place for everything.
I don’t believe I’ve left anything at a GZ, but I have found hiking poles stuck in the ground near a cache.

When I bought my house, I had to bring a bank draught for the entire amount from my bank to my lawyer. I went directly from the bank to the lawyer, no stops, no funny business, and I clutched my bag the entire way. There was no way I was going to do ANYTHING before that bank draught was safely where it needed to go.
