Geocaching Drama

Psst. If you’re not having fun, you’re doing it wrong.

  1. i liked your argument. made sense to me! We have a cache here that was about 70 ft off, but in an obvious spot. many people have comment on coords being off and even posted the correct one. I don’t understand why the CO doesn’t pay attention to the logs. I don’t push it though- since it IS in an obvious spot. but still!

  2. I actually was in the position of the CO once and had issues with a cache’s coords. It wasn’t really my fault…it’s near a bridge and a bunch of woods and GPSr accuracy is questionable at best in the area. I had a lot of cachers getting on my case about it and it was getting annoying. The issue finally came to rest when I pointed it out that questionable coords are just part of the game, and to finally resolve the situation I took new coords and averaged them with what others had gotten and posted 🙂

    • It happens to the best of us. I wish people wouldn’t take it as personal criticism when someone mentions a problem in their cache log.
